Paulownia Bent Plywood — Product Introduction
Key Features
Superior Flexibility: Can be bent into arcs, circles, waves, and other complex shapes without cracking, delaminating, or peeling. Minimum bending radius can reach R20 for ultra-thin veneer versions.
Lightweight: Inherited from paulownia’s low density (~286–310 kg/m³), approximately 40% lighter than conventional wood panels, reducing structural load and easing handling.
Easy to Process: Soft texture allows effortless cutting, shaping, sanding, and surface finishing (veneer lamination, painting, melamine paper, PET film).
Dimensional Stability: Properly dried and laminated structure minimizes warping and splitting compared to solid paulownia.
Eco-Friendly Options: Available with E0, E1, or formaldehyde-free adhesives to meet international environmental standards.
Natural Paulownia Properties: Moisture-resistant, corrosion-resistant, acid/alkali resistant, insect-resistant, and good sound conductivity.

Main Applications
Interior Decoration: Curved feature walls, column wrapping, arched ceilings, wavy partitions, skirting boards
Furniture Manufacturing: Curved chair backs, headboards, arched cabinet doors, decorative panels
Display & Crafts: Exhibition structures, artistic installations, custom-shaped decorative objects
Musical Instruments: Sound boards and curved components leveraging paulownia’s acoustic properties
Advantages & Limitations
Advantages:
Exceptional formability for complex curves and irregular shapes
Lightweight for easy transport and installation
Wide range of surface finish options for design flexibility
Multiple eco-grade adhesive choices
Natural resistance to moisture, corrosion, and insects
Limitations:
Low hardness — surface prone to scratches and dents; not suitable for load-bearing structures
Moderate weather resistance — prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or high humidity may cause aging or swelling
Higher cost than standard flat panels due to specialized manufacturing process
